Martin Sexton and Johnny Cash - Crooning Guitar Players

the idea girl says
it's always fun when you find a new artist that sounds like a popular one.
This week I came across a guy named Martin Sexton who sings, or rather croons like Johnny Cash.

I posted his youtube videos on my IGC Entertainment Canada blogs on word press and sent a note on linkedin, twitter and facebook to Johnny Cash fans, and music, movie, tv series producers to check out this talented singer, song writer.

I got to be a part of a cool tv show.
See that white fur coat, and gold purse on the chair?
That is where I was sitting. :)

I took 34 photos of this event and I plan to make a video with it and upload it soon.  I'm waiting to find out when the show will be airing.  I'm not actually on camera but you can probably hear me laughing with the other girls.

Photo Tour of Helen's Deli - 50 James Street - St Catharines Ontario Canada- Photos by Linda Randall

You can contact Helen's Deli for catering and they deliver for free in the downtown core, charges apply elsewhere in St Catharines, Ontario Canada.  I was talking to the owner and she bought Helen's Deli in 2002.  The place has been open since the 1970's under a different owner who retired, according to the long time customers I took photos of.  They have been going to Helen's Deli for lunch for the past 40 years.  Sweet eh?

I love dropping in there to get a piece of pie, a cabbage roll.  There's a huge salad bar and I was told it triples in the summer time.  It's huge already.  I think it's $5.99 for a regular sized lunch (salad bar only).  There are daily advertised prices and it's affordable, healthy eating for executives, or every day folk looking for some good home made cooking.

Coffee Culture Photo Tour - 196 St Paul Street - St Catharines Ontario Canada - photos by Linda Randall

I'm going to take you on a photo tour of Coffee Culture which is located on the corner of St Paul Street and James Street in Saint Catharines Ontario Canada.   A lovely place for breakfast or lunch - small executive meetings and a tranquil place to go an relax after a harried day at the office.

Coffee, bagels, muffins, sandwiches, soups and more, you have lots of healthy dishes to choose from.

Here's my other blog post about Coffee Culture along with the video clip of the interior view of this wonderful place to eat.

I have to say that my meeting with Cameron on Thursday Dec 2, 2010 was a success.  Being a Business man himself, Cameron gave me some expert advice on how to "focus" on what I want to do for the business and how to start marketing my ideas and making some money from it.

As you may not know, most things i've been doing for the past year, were for free.  I was "educating" myself and learning how it all works.  I wanted to build a client portfolio and have people who could be my references.  I guess I went about it the wrong way, I could have made some money from it but I never asked.

Actually they did ask and I refused the money. I didn't feel like I was a good enough "expert" to charge a fee.  Now I know that was wrong of me.

Live and Learn is what they say...

I call it my "community service" now. :)

Creating Niagara Region Youtube Videos for Restaurants - Reviews - Ratings by Linda Randall

This month's project is about creating youtube videos for my new channel

http://www.youtube.com/igcentertainmentca

Now I sent an email to youtube asking to be an affiliate
and gave them some of my "ideas" for my channel, ads, and how I want to market it and place certain ads on there.

Not sure if they will accept me but I think the general rule is you need 500 to 1000 subscribers to make it work.

That is what I found out from reading the "youtube" forums.

Check it out you will learn something new!
